I love your new tattoo and had to do some stalking to find a picture, but someone anonymously pointed out to me that it's got a crystal meth pattern? Why is that? I didn't realise you were into that

Thank you, I love it too! … But, I think you’ve got the wrong idea. It’s just a rough crystal pattern. I suppose crystal meth might have the same sort of structure (?) but that’s not what it was designed to look like - it’s just a regular crystal cat. I’m definitely not into crystal meth, ha.

Have you ever tried putting Daisy's hair in pig tails? She would look so cute!

Never! I’ve definitely wanted too but I’m rather good at losing little things like hair ties/clips. I think she’d look cute too!

Daisy girl,

You have developed quite the vocabulary. You’re constantly surprising us and impressing us with new words.

Aside from the general first baby words & noises (Mama, Dada, Bubba, Nanna, Ta) these are your first (and most frequently used) words, noted because I don’t ever wan’t to forget the begining of such a crucial milestone.

First words (in order):

Owwww-l (owl), daaaaay-see (Daisy), baaawwll (ball), jooooz (juice)

You say these words quite often, and you know exactly what each one means. You can say other words and spend most of your day trying to mimick the things that your Dad and I say.

Another little fact worth noting, is that you always says new words whilst in the bath, as if you’re rewarding us for letting you splash around (your favourite activity).

For as long as I can remember, Daisy has been completely enthralled by skateboards and anything skateboarding related (it’s in her DNA, I swear). At first, she would sit and spin the wheels, and run her hands along the textured surfaces, from then, she moved on to requesting to sit on the skateboards, or to just be surrounded by them. She’s watched her Pa skate around since birth, which now means that she is oddly calmed and soothed by skateboarding videos, or just by the sound of rolling wheels. A celebratory post -
Today, when running errands outside, I couldn’t help but watch Daisy sitting quietly on her chair, observing the world so intently.
Caring for a mobile toddler has proven to be much, much harder than caring for a mobile infant. I am generally exhausted at the end of a long day of chasing after my surprisingly fast little daredevil (how does she even have that much energy?).
Anyway, I’m grateful for this. The sight of my child sitting still was beginning to fade into the whirl of memory’s in my brain.
